A two story lake front home was designed for a retired couple. Located on Smith Mountain Lake in southwestern Virginia the brick house with Chippendale railing details recalls classic Virginia homes. The design allowed the couple to age in place with wheelchair accessibility throughout the main floor and minimal maintenance for the exterior materials. The open floor plan captures views of the lake from all of the living spaces.
